Episode 112: How I Published over 4 Journals, Created 6 Courses, and Produced over 100 Podcast Episodes in 2 Years

I get asked all the time “Sarah, how the hell do you create so many things and get so much done?!” Today I’m answering that question as I breakdown the hours it took me to create and complete over 10 major products and courses in about 2 years. I share the strategy behind focus projects, ways to rethink your time and show you a glimpse inside how I manage my content-driven business.

Find the show note and links to everything I mention in this week’s episode below

Journals and Planners:

= 86 TOTAL HOURS —> approx. 3.6 days

Courses:

= 255 HOURS —> approx. 10.6 days

Over 100 podcast episodes:

  • I go over batching strategies inside Pretty Simple Podcast

  • On average if I don't plan an episode and wing it = 1-2 hours per episode

  • If I batch and outline ahead of time etc - recording time = 30-40 minutes per episode

How I manage my focus projects:

  • Do a brain dump around the idea

  • Create a content outline

  • Map out my focus project

  • Track my time for the project from start to finish (noting research, planning, and creation times)

  • Doing ONE focus project at a time

Key takeaways:

  • Being prepared helps

  • Having a strategy helps

  • Tracking your time creates awareness and accountability
